Where in the World? Saguaro National Park, Arizona, USA

I’m having trouble writing these days. I’m feeling anxious and a little overwhelmed. Perhaps I’m hearing the bells toll, telling us that our life of extravagence is nearing it’s endgame.  Whatever it is, all I can do today is post some pictures of a beautiful place I once visited, the Saguaro National Park outside of Tucson, Arizona.

Who knew the desert could be so beautiful?

Check out more photos from my travels

  1. Stunning photos!

Your feelings of being overwhelmed seem to be something most of us go through as we realise where things could be headed.

For me, I found the easiest way to deal with it was to develop a plan based on where we wantedd to be, then divide the plan into actions. It helped remove the feelings of being overwhelmed.

For some, breaking those action plans down into steps helps even further.

  2. Those photos are fantastic. I love the black and white picture, the oversized guinea pig is pretty cool too.

It’s not just feeling overwhelmed, there’s this creepy feeling that I can’t shake, you know something’s there but for the life of you, you can’t see it. That or I need to seriously cut back on the sugar.

  3. These are lovely photographs. Your own I take it? The image of the humming bird in particular is very beautiful. Thank you for posting them, you have bought a little bit of beauty into my life this morning 🙂

Regarding the anxiety about the future, well, it looks like you are on the right path: getting fit, getting out of debt, getting prepared. Really there is nothing more that you can do (or need to do!).

The path ahead for me and my partner Sam is to continue our preparation, settle into our new anti-consumerist lifestyle and enjoy it while things do what they will around us. Since we can’t predict what will happen we just have to be ready to live through it.

  4. Thanks everyone. My plan for the weekend is to come up with a plan! Feeling directionless always leaves me feeling overwhelmed.

And yes, these are all my own photos. I have so many backlogged from my travels so I thought if I forced myself to post a new place every week, I might actually go back through them and do something about them.
